Trying to make my private blog user friendly

I had a friend come up with a great idea to make her private blog more user friendly. I know for me personally I only check private blogs about once every month or two, (just can't seem to remember and have the time to click to each individual blog to see if there is an update) and as such I miss out on some good stuff. (Don't have the time to read back over everything). But those in my google reader get checked on whenever I have a few spare moments since they are all in one spot. My friend Kara came up with a great solution for those of us who go private. She created a second blog that she could leave public so it can be added to RSS feeds/Google reader, or whatever other ways you keep track of new posts from public blogs. On this blog there is a link to every new post she does, so you know when she has posted and has a neat little one click link to get to it (provided you are already logged on to blogger).

So being the great copycat I am, I followed her lead. I will put a quick message on here for those who rely on RSS feeds like Google reader to let them know I have added a post to our blog. Then you just need to click on the link and it will take you there. Now you just have to add this blog to your reader and your done! What an easy solution, huh? Wish I had thought of that.
